Pumpkin Spice Latte Swap-Out! Healthier Alternatives

When your about to give in to the Pumpkin laced latte…Try this instead!

So I am constantly tempted by Starbucks (there are 3 of them on campus here and 4 within walking distance – two of which are across the street!)

And I have to say I was such a pumpkin spice latte lover in the ole’ days!

So what is your healthy swap out…?

Black tea (Starbucks sells “Awake”) with one pump of pumpkin spice syrup. If you do dairy add a splash of cream if you like and try it hot or iced.

Lets compare…

Tall Pumpkin Spice Latte (12oz) – whole milk + whipped cream
330 Calories
40g Carbohydrate
38g Sugar
That is NOT OK! How dare they make something so bad for you taste so good

Black Tea with One Pump Pumpkin Syrup
33 Calories
8g Carbohydrates
8g Sugar
Much better right!
To equal the same calories…You can have 10 of these instead of one pumpkin spice latte!

If you add 1 tablespoon of half-and-half
52.5 calories
8g Carbohydrates
8g Sugar
You would have to drink 6.35 of these to = the calories in 1 pumpkin spice latte!
